As you read this I am somewhere in the middle of Peru, scouting locations, meeting guides, and planning a new photography travel tour here for 2016.
So I thought it would be appropriate to give you an inspiration with some of my images of Peru from 2007. I was so in love with the place and vowed to return. It took me eight years but I did it!
Peru is a magical place. Not just Machu Picchu but the people, the culture and the food. It wasn’t even on my radar until I had an opportunity to go on a friend’s tour as her unofficial photographer (thanks Didi!) and I knew one day I’d be back, and next time I want to bring people with me too – could be you.
That’s the plan. One of the most requested destinations for a new travel tour was Peru, so – you asked for it, we’re building it! Watch for details in coming months, but I promise you it will have some special activities just for photographers, and maybe a few surprises too.
Buenos días (good day) y hasta pronto (see you soon)!

Cheers,
What beautiful photos! We have Machu Pichu on our list!!
Beautiful images. What makes the people’s faces look so blotchy? Is it genes or atmosphere?
atmosphere – it’s very harsh there, wind burn mostly on their cheeks
Thank you!
Saw your comments to someone else that you didnt have an issue with the altitude being asthmatic. My partner and I are both asthmatic but have Cusco and Machu Picchu planned for our 1 month South America trip for early 2017. Leaving Australia for Brazil (Rio de Janeiro carnival and camping in the Amazon) Peru (Cusco and Lima) and finishing off with Argentina. If I can extend to 6 weeks, then we will add Galapagos Islands and down south in Argentina for the Glaciers.
The Photos you posted have left me longing and wistfully that my trip is still almost 18 months away.
Thanks, have a fabulous time!
Hi Darlenes, Wouldn´t you have time for a workshop or seminar (this time or next year)?
I live in Perú and would be great to have you in our country and learn directly from you.

I’m in Lima now! Want a private lesson? LOL Only half joking!
I went to Peru a couple of years ago. Neat place…..if you have the lungs. Would recommend it to everyone.
I actually have asthma and wasn’t an issue for me. The altitude thing is random. I’ve seen uber fit people get hit with it hard and you’d think they would be immune.
