To Darlene photography is magic. An avid traveler herself, getting to lead photo tours around the world that support other photographers in an immersive environment, really is her dream job.
After completing her photography training at college she fell into working as a commercial photographer, and then portrait/wedding photographer, before realizing her calling in life was to teach and share the joy of photography with others.
Darlene has photographed over 250 weddings, sold her work as fine art in galleries and was the editor of Digital Photo School for five years before standing down to focus on growing Digital Photo Mentor.
Darlene makes it no secret that she loves to live vicariously through her students. In this way, she can experience photography anew through their eyes. It’s the moment when the light bulbs go off and people tap into creativity they never knew they had that she cherishes the most.
Darlene leads the Cuba photo tour, Vietnam and Peru with Daniel, as well as Scotland and Thailand with Kav.
Photography is more than a passion to Daniel Korzeniewski, it’s a golden opportunity to document the world and share unique cultures with people across the globe.
Embarking upon his creative path at the age of 17, he has since shot assignments and commercial work, lifestyle campaigns, and architectural and real estate projects. However, his primary focus is travel photography and photography tours.
Daniel leads Digital Photo Mentor’s India Tour, and Morocco Tour and the Vietnam Tour and Photo Tour of Peru with Darlene.
With a passion for writing, and sharing his love of photography with others, for travel and landscape photographer Kav Dadfar, leading photo tours was the exciting next step.
Leading tours not only allows Kav to teach photography but also to explore many different locations to put all of that knowledge and theory into action.
Bringing with him a wealth of experience speaking at conferences and teaching seminars as well as working in commercial photography and photographing high-end stock images. His images have been published in Condé Nast, National Geographic, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, American Express, multiple National newspapers and many more.
As well as being a contributing author to Digital Photo Mentor, Kav is also a regular writer for Digital Photography School and Life Pixel.
