Welcome to Lightroom for Photographers: The Complete Course!
This course is best watched in the order the lessons are laid out for best success. You’ll be taken through the entire process of learning and using Lightroom step-by-step.
First, you’ll learn your way around the software, then you’ll see how all the tools work and what they do. Finally, you’ll see how it all comes together with the complete workflow for processing landscape photos, portraits, macro, travel, street photography, and so on.
Download the Course Outline
I’ve put together this PDF with the complete course outline so you know exactly what is included.
You can download the course outline PDF here (154 KB)
Raw files and practice images
The next bonus for you is the practice images that are provided so you can follow along with each of the lessons and techniques demonstrated. I encourage you to download and use them.
The link to download them will be provided on the page for Lesson 1. In that lesson, you will learn how to get started with Lightroom, and how to quickly and easily access the demo images.
If you’re brand new to Lightroom when you start this course, I recommend waiting until Lesson 1 before you import or start to work on the images. I’ll walk you through exactly how to do that when you get there.
It’ll be SUPER EASY, I promise!
Submitting questions related to each lesson
During the initial release of this course, we accepted questions from students as they worked their way through the lessons. Q&A sessions were held twice a week during this time and the sessions were recorded. You’ll find those question and answer sessions on the lesson pages, along with a list of the questions asked and the timestamp for where you will find it in the video.
If you have any new questions, we encourage you to ask them in the Facebook group for this course so that the answer can be provided for everyone. If you do not have or use Facebook, you can email your question to Darlene.
Photo Editing Terms Used Within the Course
Throughout the course, I may reference a photo editing term you may or may not be familiar with. It’s fairly important to understand the definition of the term or phrase if you want to truly understand how the tool works or what I’m describing within the lessons.
