LIVE Photo Editing Demonstrations

Learn how to improve your photo editing skills by joining in on our LIVE photo editing sessions. Submit your own RAW photos to have edited, ask questions about the techniques and get answers to your questions LIVE and in-person.

Submit Your Photos
How Does This Work Exactly?

You Can Just Watch, or Submit Your Own Photo for Editing

We totally get it. There’s SO MUCH to photo editing, where do you start? what’s the best approach? Is one workflow better than another? How do you overcome a sticking point?

It doesn’t matter if you use Lightroom, Photoshop or Luminar Neo, simply being able to watch a professional photo editor, with over 35 years experience edit photos and solve common (and not so common) editing challenges is a good way to spend some time.

… and then to be able to ask questions? Even better!

Watch LIVE photo editing sessions

We livestream for between 90 minutes and 2 hours every week, on either Wednesday evenings during the summer or Sunday afternoons in the winter. The schedule is below.

Get answers to your questions

Ask questions about photo editing, about photography, or just about anything and Darlene will explain or demonstrate the solution. Ask anything. Really!

Submit YOUR photos to be edited

We encourage you to submit YOUR RAW photos, share with Darlene the problem you’re experiencing with it, and your preferred software on which you would like to see demonstrated.

Meet and make some new friends

The community of photo editors grows every week and we have a lot of regulars who join in every session to watch, share and just chat about photography.

Themed Editing Livestreams

Each week’s session is based around a theme we choose ahead of time. The theme might be a genre like “mountains” or “cars” or the theme might be underexposed or overexposed photos. The theme might be a common problem or a common desired outcome like “Restoring Old Photos”. You can see some of our themes below.

November – MaySundays4:00 PM EST

Photos are submitted by viewers and readers like you that match theme. You can submit photos you already have in your catalog, or use it as a challenge to get the shots and then submit them.

Not every good photographer is a good teacher however, in my opinion Darlene has both fields covered very well.

About Darlene

I am a professional photographer with over 35 years of experience who’s passionate about teaching and mentoring new photographers.

  • I’ve edited physical negatives, both square format and 35mm.
  • Photographed over 250 weddings and edited every shot.
  • Used Photoshop since 1993 and Lightroom since it’s inception.
  • I’m versed in Luminar 3, Luminar 4, Luminar AI and am the lead instructor for Luminar Neo: The Complete Course, the only course endorsed by Skylum Software.
  • What I’m doing in the stream: I’m editing subscriber-submitted photos, with permission, so that you can see how a professional photographer would approach the image with any fixes, improvements, or added creative touches.
  • How it works: I do this for free. Photos and/or questions must be submitted ahead of time using the form above. Submissions do not guarantee the photo will be used in the Livestream.
