Since I’ve been running these monthly challenges here on Digital Photo Mentor I’ve been flooded with comments and emails about how much people are enjoying them, how much you’re all learning, and how valuable they are. Hopefully we can continue that this month – keep reading, and keep having those “aha” moments.

Last month’s winner announced
Last month your challenge was to use your camera daily for 30 days in a row to help you get really familiar with it, become one. Here’s what some people had to say about taking part in that one:
Charlene:
I am so glad that I did this challenge! In a mere 30 days, I am doing so many more things with my camera! I am now using my speedlight (which has been sitting untouched in my computer room for over a year!) both on and off camera. I’ve experimented with ISO’s, back button focusing, light painting, auto bracketing, and multiple exposures. I also have more knowledge on how to use my info and menu buttons to find various settings. It IS possible to become a better photographer in 30 days—even without a class or course—just by picking up your camera (even for just 30 minutes or less) and playing with it. Thanks for the challenge and the inspiration!!
Diane Silverthorne:
I haven’t quite made the 30 day challenge but sure have benefitted from the days I have spent just becoming one with my camera – and my manual- to be become more familiar and comfortable and proficient with one feature at a time. You have always said how nb this is but this was an excellent framework to challenge us on really doing it – thanks!
Cheryl Schmidt:
Great challenge. Am using the top buttons on the Canon 7D which really speeds things up. Am still learning how to use the Back Button Focus button efficiently.
Chris:
Last day of the challenge for me today. I’m surprised at how much I enjoyed the challenge and by how much I learnt in so short a time, although once I picked up the camera I usually spent at least 30 minutes with it. Time just flies once that camera is in my hands. Thank-you so much for the motivation I needed to make time to learn. Now when I got out to shoot I look forward to using my new knowledge to make better images.
Jim Mc:
Hi Darlene, and thanks. This was a great exercise! I started thinking that I would run out of things to look at after a few days (after all, I have used a camera for years, and my current cameras for 1+ years). Was I wrong. I could probably keep this going for another month or two. It absolutely surprised me as I realized how many options I just ignored, or didn’t practice enough to use quickly. This has been a real help and I really appreciate your suggestion to daily just play with some item on the camera. These stand out as I review my notes: on my Fuji x100s – push (instead of rotate) the command wheel and the image in the view finder is enlarged for better focusing; and a photo taken in panorama mode can be viewed as a series of independent still shots. On the nikon d610: in the view finder, and on the camera top display, the buffer capacity is indicated when the shutter button is pushed half way down (helpful when shooting basketball games), and face recognition is available in ‘live view’ on the LCD screen. And on both cameras it was very helpful to play with focus point selection. Thanks, again!
Terri Noleen:
Yay! I did it!! January 2nd to February 2nd. Picked up my camera and shot each day. Still have to find the time to go through the images and delete or keep, process etc. I found the challenge a great learning experience and taught me to look for photo possibilities in even the most mundane things. I may even continue on for another month.
ught me to look for photo possibilities in even the most mundane things. I may even continue on for another month.
We’ve now closed last months challenge and randomly selected a winner. Congratulations to Chris who successfully completed it and will be awarded a free registration to the 4 Weeks to Better Photography online course.
New challenge – use only one lens for a month
Limit Your Gear
This one is about limiting yourself in terms of what you use for gear, specifically to one lens – even more specifically to one focal length. The logic behind this is that as photographers we’ve become too relaxed, one might even say lazy, in our reliance on using zoom lenses. We don’t move our feet or get creative, we just tend to stand in one spot and zoom in or out to get the shot.
Use one focal length for a whole month
By forcing yourself to only use one focal length you will have to think outside the box to get the shots you want. You’ll have to rely on your own brain power to do this and you will become more creative in the process. You have to!
If you have several lenses including prime or fixed ones – pick one of those. If you only have zooms, or even if you only have one zoom lens – pick one focal length on it and stick to that only. For example if you have an 18-135mm lens pick say 35mm within that range. Set the lens to that mark and tape it in place and leave it there for 30 days.
I’m a huge fan of the 50mm f/1.8 – you’ll know that if you’ve taken any of my courses, workshops or been on one of our photography tours. I love it because it’s so light weight, inexpensive, and has a huge aperture of f/1.8 so lets in lots of light (great for low light photography and creating bokeh backgrounds). If you use a cropped or APS-C sensor camera you might also consider the 35mm version. Whichever one, I highly recommend this type of lens as your first upgrade once you’re ready to move past the kit lens.
But won’t I miss shots?
You might miss some shots by having the wrong lens on, but I can almost guarantee your photography overall will improve by doing this. You’ll get new and different shots you may never have considered before with your new heightened creativity. So the shots you may miss will be replaced with others that might be as good, or better.
So your challenge is a bit of mind game with yourself as well. Try to move past the feeling of missing something and instead of thinking about what you don’t have, use what you DO have to its full potential. Remember this phrase:
Love the one you’re with!
After you’ve recovered from that blast from the past it’s time to pick your lens. Let’s do this!
The contest
The deadline to enter will be March 17th (remember to wear green for St. Paddy’s Day!) and will run on the honour system like the last one. If you comment and post that you’ve done it successfully for 30 days we trust you. The winner will be chosen and announced on the 19th.
To be clear, you must first comment that you’re taking on the challenge. Then when the month is complete, comment again saying you’ve completed it, how it worked out for you, and what you’ve learned.
The prize
A $50 Amazon gift card to buy something of your choice. I recommend a photography book full of images that will inspire you. If you want to see the ones I have or recommend check out the list here.
Well, get going. Feel free to keep going on the use your camera daily challenge if you participated in that one last month. This is a perfect extension of that one.
Cheers,
Hi guys – I’m closing this thread so I can pick the winner and put up the next challenge tomorrow. Get ready! Winner will be notified and announced on the new challenge.
After re-reading the instructions, I realize I might not be out. As previously noted, I missed one day. Now as I read it, I am not certain if daily use was a requirement or not. It looks like the challenge was to keep one lens on for 30 days.
Challenge completed. I was somewhat hindered by the weather here in the northeast, but I did manage to shoot a few times a week. It really was a challenge, but I’ll do it again. I had fun with bokeh, but I’m not yet ready to call my results art .
I have to say, this task was harder than I expected. My trusty Canon Rebel T3i, with its lens taped at 35mm, and I arrived at Tokyo a few days ago and I wanted to take some pictures but couldn’t quite get the shots I hoped for. I was quite tempted to take the tape off my camera a few times, but resisted the urge and decided to try different approaches to my photos. I realized that I don’t need a bag full of lenses to be a confident photographer, instead I look to get closer or further away, positioning myself to take the picture I have in mind, and if that isn’t enough, I can always find new perspectives, compositions or details to photograph. This also taught me that these are the pictures that are most interesting, and this has widen my view as a photographer. These last days I found myself laying on the ground, leaning over fences, and stopping in the middle of the streets to take my pictures. I really enjoyed this challenge, but I’m sure the japanese people who were looking at me on the street enjoyed it more!
Hello again. I forgot to add that I used the lens on both my cameras, the 6D and the 7D and liked it on both cameras. The photo of the orchid was taken with the 7D. Love love love!!!
Hello Darlene
I did it, one month with only one lens. I was a little doubtful of my purchase of the Canon 50 mm f/1.4 since I already had the 1.8, but your challenge has made me love this new lens. I stuck with it and it paid off. I am quite amazed at the wonderful photos I made in different conditions, both inside and out. I passed the 1.8 on to my grandson who is taking photography courses in school and is loving it. It’s a great addition to his camera bag, and hopefully he’ll love it as much as I love my new f1.4.
Thank you for making me see the full potential in this wonderful lens.
Hello Darlene,
I missed several days of not taking photos during this challenge. I’m glad that I did take on the challenge. I learned how to better work with my lens. I had chosen to use the Lensbaby Spark I discover I could swop out and use different optics. It’s been fun.
Thank you for encouraging us and challenging us.
Well the month is up. I used my Canon 85mm f1.8. It was challenging! I found that I mostly took photos of kids. Perhaps due to bad weather i did not have much time outside and the focal length did not seem to be useful for most of the indoor subjects I would have photographed. However a great learning experience! It would be a different experience to try this again using the same lens in spring!
Thanks Darlene.
I stuck with it; missed my zoom lenses at times, but found out a lot about what my 35mm f1.8 will do; got some nice blurry backgrounds in my close ups. As expected, I couldn’t get close enough to the hawk I often see on my way to work, but I was able to walk right up to the possum below when he climbed up the fence to stay away from our dog one morning.
That is a great capture!
Unfortunately, I am out. I’ve been taking the pics with my Pentax K-3 and the 50mm f/1.8 lens since the challenge was announced, February 16. Today is the 30th day, or 31st if I sneak in the one I took the day before the announcement. However, I just checked to ensure I had a photo for each day, and I have nothing for February 18.
It was a nice opportunity to participate and get to know both my new camera and the new lens. I’ve probably spent most of the time experiencing the depth of field and seeing what I can do in low light situations. I’ve experienced lens flare which I could stop by decreasing the aperture. There was an opportunity to take some portrait shots. I found a couple of times where the results were not good due to distance where I couldn’t get closer.
Overall, I found this lens is a great daily lens if i only want one with me. I look forward to spending a few days now using the 18-55. Thanks for the challenge, Darlene.
That was great! Thanks for another challenge which is making me a better photographer. StIcking to one lens for a whole month was a challenge, but that’s the name of the game. I learned quite a bit and appreciate your instruction. Thanks again.
A month ago I commented that I was in with a nifty fifty on my Canon 450D. In that month I’ve taken at least one shot every day except a couple of days last week when I was in hospital. To be honest there were times I wondered why I was doing this as I was convinced I’d “miss the shots I wanted”, but by sticking to it even when I didn’t want to, I discovered I don’t need to have a wide angle to take the same shot of the iconic table mountain that everybody else takes. By limiting myself to the nifty fifty and only getting a part of this mountain in, I had so many positive comments on ShutterCal about being able to see the sheer grandeur because of seeing the detail of the buildings which are normally lost in the wide angle. I’ve also found I get a lot more shots because it is compact enough to take walking – I can actually hold two dogs on leashes in one hand, and my camera and nifty fifty in the other, and still get the shot! I’ve learned I can do portraits and pets. I’ve actually learned to love this little lens.
Awesome capture!
I’ve been using only my 50mm 1.8 prime lens on my Nikon D7100 for a month. Here is an image I made in Grand Cayman at a restaurant.
Very nice!
First challenge for me – I’m in!! Will stick to my 50mm / f1.8 on my Canon 600D for the month. Going to a family wedding in a few weeks so hopefully it’ll get me some good shots.
I’m in!
Well, I blew this contest!! We had snow today and the birds were out galore…had to get pics so changed to my telephoto lens!! I tried so hard not to but there was just too much temptation!!!
I’m in with nikkor 50 mm f1.4 fully manual about 40 years old.
I’m in with nikkor 50mm f1.4
I’m using my Canon 85mm, f1.8. I guess that’s around 100mm on my Canon 7D. Going well so far. Looking forward to the rest of the month.
I am going to give this a try. I will be using a Nikon D7100 and/or D3100 with a 50mm 1:1.8G lens
I am replying to add to my own comment further down. I used my lens last night at a friends play in a small theatre. Flash was not allowed, it was dark and dingy. Last year I only had the kit lens for the Nikon D3100, I really only got about 12 photos that I found acceptable.
Last night…well lets just say I am entering into a new love affair with my f/1.8 aperture. I even managed to nail the manual focus on most of them…once i realised what the arrows were trying to tell me when looking in the viewfinder. LOL
Thank you for setting this challenge Darlene. I may have put off using my Prime lens until I bought the 35mm AF-S version if you had not (got the 50mm AF f/1.8D, which the AF is not compatible with the NIkon D3100). Now I don’t think I will worry for a while.
Darlene, this is my first contest, I was just wondering if we need to post any photos some where?
Nope – only if you want to.
I will join in, using my Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens on my Nikon D80
I am in. Nikon AF 50mm f/1.8D. I bought the wrong lens and the AF is not compatible with my camera. Instead of taking it back, I have decided to challenge myself to working on my Manual Focus skills. A double challenge month for me.
Yes ! Big challenges !
I’ll participate, Nikon 50mm 5.6.Love from Lagos
Am I too late to get in on this great challenge? Hope not! When I bought a new camera, an Olympus EM5, I purchased two lenses. The one, a 24mm to 300mm, I have used ALL the time but the other, a Sigma EX 19 f2.8 NEVER. So, this is the ideal challenge for me to get familiar with this fixed lens! I will be starting today!
No not at all join in!
Today is day 2! Using my prime lens is making me realize how much I change the focal length rather than my feet when shooting! I am constantly trying to change the focal length! It is definitely forcing me to move around more. All very good!
I will do this too with a Canon 550D and a Nifty Fifty f1.8 lens. Thanks for the inspiration!
I’ll take the challenge with a Sony 50 mm 1.8
I am also in! First challenge I take. I will be shooting with my Canon 50mm F:/1.8 on my EOS 450D. In fact I also like it a lot being so light 🙂
I’m in-I recently purchased a manual focus 135mm Nikon. I’m already loving the color quality, and the manual focus is an additional challenge. See you at the end of the month!
Hello Darlene. This is a great challenge to learn the capabilities of a lens. I have done this for a day but a whole month is a better way to start thinking out of the box. The lens I will use is my Tamron 180 mm macro. The challenge should be a fun learning experience.
Commiting from Feb. 18th to March 19th. Canon 6D with the Lensbaby.
make sure you come back and comment by the 17th if you’ve completed up to then – we will cut off the contest that day – but keep going!
Will do. I am going to use the Spark Lensbaby. It is my newest lens.
sounds fun and challenging!
I’m in! Will try to combine the challenge with food and crochet crafts photography as well. Let’s see how that goes. I’m planning on using my old camera’s Zenit 58mm 1:2. Wish me luck!
good luck, have fun
I’m unofficially doing this already; bought a Nikon DX, 35mm f1.8 a couple of weeks ago, and have been using it exclusively since, to learn what it will/won’t do, so I’ll commit to continuing till St Paddy’s day.. My only concern is that red shouldered hawk I sometimes see on my way to work. He won’t let me get close enough to get a good shot with this lens….I’ll bow out of this challenge later if he gets to be too much of a temptation.
I too will have a go. Nikon 35mm f/1.8, crop factor makes it a 50mm.
Yes, please do. Photograph your loved ones! https://dev-dpm-2.instawp.xyz/do-whats-important-photograph-your-loved-ones/
Sounds like a neat idea. I’ll stick to 18mm on my 18-55mm lens with a Canon 7D.
I’m in. With the Canon 60D and 24-70mm 2.8L (will set the focal length to 35mm for the month). Hope it would be a great learning curve!
I’m in, Canon 6D with the Lensbaby. Dates February 18th to March 19th.
sounds good – Summilux 25mm 1.4 on Oly OM-D-M1
Just wondering…is the purpose of the challenge to actually take a photo every day for 30 days with the lens/focal length we choose?
You can if you wish – but just use this lens whenever you do take photos is the challenge. How far you take it is up to you.
I am in with my OMD-EM1 with 24mm 1.8 lens
Hi Darlene! I missed last month’s challenge, but I’m definitely in this time. I don’t have a prime lens, so I’ll be taping my lens at 35mm. Looking forward next month’s adventures!
OK, I will only use my Panasonic 20mm f1.7 (equiv 40mm in full frame) for a whole month. It enables me to put the camera in my pocket and is a perfect “normal” lens.
Hi Darlene, I just bought a Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro, and have been wanting to use it more. I have never entered a contest, so this sounds like the perfect time for me.
Same here, Canon 60D and 100mm/f2.8
Will be my first contest
I’m in. Canon 50mm. f:/1.8 with my 7D. A real challenge for me but I’m up for it
I’m in also with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8
I’m in. I’ve got a 50mm f/1.8 as well. Matter of fact, it’s my only prime lens that I own. Guess that makes it real easy which lens I should shoot with.
I’m in. In fact, I got started too late last month, so I think I’ll consolidate both challenges. The testimonials from last month made me think I’d made a huge mistake not getting in. Thanks for the encouragement!
I’m so glad adding the comments from last month has inspired you. You can see what other real people are doing and achieving – I’m not making this stuff up!
I can’t actually join the challenge as my new 50mm 1.8 will not be here until this coming weekend, but the new one will live on my camera for a couple of months while I shoot as much as possible to get used to it before I buy the next lens (a Tamron 150-600mm)
I am in. Canon 85mm 1.8
This is my first ever challenge and looking forward to it. I will use my new Canon 50mm f/1.4, but not sure yet if I’ll use my Canon 6D or 7D. Any suggestions?
Your call – the 7D will add even more limitations as it’s cropped on that body. I’d go 6D
I’m in Canon 50mm F:/1.8 on my EOS 700D
Hey Darlene, I’m in. Strapping my Sigma 35mm, Sigma “Art” Lens to my Nikon D800e and not removing it for a month. Duke
Well, I actually just ordered the CANON 50mm f/1.4 lens today and should be getting it tomorrow. So it’s perfect timing! Can’t wait to mess around with my new lens for the next month!
Hi Darlene, I’m in and I’ll be using a canon 50 mm F 1.8 on my Canon Rebel FX
Wow – look at all the 50 f/1.8’s on here! You guys must be listening to me LOL!
I’m in. 50m 1.8
Hi Darlene. I’ve never done a photo challenge so this is the first. I’m in I’m using my Sigma 17-70 2.8 at 50mm on a canon 60d
well welcome!
I’m in.
Using my 50mm 1.4.
🙂

(Sydney, Australia)
I’m afraid that I won’t be taking up this challenge – we’ll be on holiday in Oman (40 years since I was there…), and I won’t want to miss anything!
I did undertake this challenge – involuntarily – 3 years ago; on the first day of a holiday in the Indian Himalaya, my Sigma 18-250 zoom jammed (both zoom and aperture). I then had to do a 2 week trek, followed by my first tour through Agra and Jaipur, with only the trusty 50mm f1.8 on my Sony A550. A good lens, but 50mm on APS-C is just too narrow a field for many shots….
catch us next time and have a great trip, I’m jealous!
One question: I only received the challenge this morning (about 4 hours ago in my in-box) and it is the 18th here in Australia, so my 30 days won’t be up until 19 March (only 28 days in February). Aren’t I supposed to confirm I have completed it by the 17th?
We’re discussing the length of the challenges in our meeting today. Will get back to you shortly
Thank you!
Just do it until the deadline and that’s qualifies.
That makes sense! Cheers!
Scary thought to limit myself to only one lens for a whole month. But I’m in. I have a nifty fifty (Canon 50mm 1.8) because the salesman told me that is the lens everyone who wants to learn to be a photographer should have, but I’ve hardly ever used it so maybe now is the time to bite the bullet and learn how to use it effectively!
Indeed it IS a good time!
Count me in. I will be shooting with a 24mm f 2.8 pancake lens mounted on my Canon 60D.
Murali.
Hello, Darlene. I love this concept. I will be carbon-welding my Pentax 50 mm f/1.8 prime onto my Pentax K-5 II. I think this will be fun.
Hello Darlene, I’ve just got out of bed so I can take a photograph and so I’m definitely in.
I missed the last challenge but count me in for this one. I will be using my Nikon 85mm 1.8
Count me in. Just purchase an Canon 85 mm 1.8. So this should make for a great challenge and time spent with my new lens.
great portrait lens and a great portrait!
Im in, Nikon 50mm 1.8, series E (fully manual old lens. and I love it!)
Nice!
I am in, will use either my 35mm, or 50mm will decide by the end of the day. Just got the 35mm and haven’t used it yet.
I’d say the 35mm if you just got it – what better way to test drive it!
Tried the 35mm tonight, looks good so I will use it for the month.
Well, I’m in too. I am still caught up in the last challenge, even though I missed a few days. Let’s see what happens!
I’m in, Nikon 50mm 1.8.
I’d like to join this. I’m going to use the Canon 50mm f/1.8.
Hi Darlene, count me in for my second assignment. I will use my Nikon 35mm f1.8 for the tenure of the assignment. I am sure that I’ll get as much out of this as the last assignment. Thank you for your continued encouragement and ideas. I have some catnip for Fuzz 🙂
She thanks you for that! But she wants to know if she has to share with her sister Munch (Munchkin).
by the way here is a photo of Fuzz – she looks all sweet and quiet, but don’t be fooled! There’s a goofball behind those closed lids. She’s a great cat – we love her to pieces.
She is cute. I always have lots of catnip on hand and have more for her brother. Unfortunately, I had to put my cat Jen-Jen down last year due to a severe case of diabetes. Give them both a hug for me. Thanks again for your guidance, professionalism and encouragement. Regards, Martin (Embro, Ontario).
Aw worry to hear that. We lost two (they were 18 and 19) two years ago which is why we have these two girls now.
Hi Darlene. I always use my kit lens on my Canon 550D, but am going to take up your challenge and will use the Canon 50 mm f/1.8 prime I got last year. I’m Looking forward to this as it will take me outside my comfort zone!
That is exactly the idea! Doing the same thing over and over you get the same results. You want something different – you gotta DO something different right?!
Count me in. I have the 50mm Canon f:/1.8 lens and will be using it on my EOS 7D. I guess that really makes it more like 80mm if you consider the crop factor. But anyway, it is a fixed focal length and I do love the light weight and the large aperture as you mentioned.
Hello !
I go on the contest with my new Canon 24mm “pancake” f/2.8 and my Canon EOS60D.
I have juste to remembrer march 17th !
set yourself a reminder!
Reminder done !
Just a pleasure ! My new pancake brings my old feelings with my Minolta SRT101 back to me when my only ways to zoom were my feet !
Reminder done !
Just a pleasure ! My new pancake brings my old feelings with my Minolta SRT101 back to me when my only ways to zoom were my feet !
So, it’s time to share my jobs that you can see here :
https://500px.com/manage#collection_2132181
I’m going to give this a try with my Canon 50D using my Tokina 16-50mm f/2.8 set for 50mm. I could use the $50 gift card to put towards a Canon 50mm f/1.8 prime.
Hi Darlene. Although this will be the first challenge I’ve officially committed to, I’ve tried a few of the others. Never got through the entire month though. I’ll be using a Canon 70D and 35mm f/2. I’m looking forward to this one.
Good Morning! I accept this challenge- with my Tamron 17-150mm lens and my trusty Canon 7D.
Okay so 17-150 is a wide range. What focal length inside that range will you pick? See others comments above who have a zoom lens. For example you could set it to 17mm and leave/lock it there. Or 50mm – or anywhere in the range. But just pick one.
Ok. Then I’ll switch to my 50mm 1.4 Canon prime lens. Thanks, Darlene!
I’m going to do my best to complete this challenge with a canon zoom that I don’t seem to get the best pics from. Just to be creative, I will leave it about 40mm.
what’s the full range of the zoom? Why do you feel the pics aren’t the best, what is the issue?
Hi Darlene. It is a 28-135/3.5-5.6. It seems my photos are clearer on with my other lenses. I don’t know if maybe it is the glass or the high aperture…I just have never been real happy with the photos from this lens. I all but stopped using it once I was able to purchase a few others.
I would suggest go back and look at the ones you feel are the least sharp from that lens. Then tell me what shutter speed was used and what focal length? 9 times out of 10 that is the issue and a lens with a wider aperture will help solve that for sure – but higher ISO helps too.
Hi D, I think I will do it with my 24MM, 1.2, Canon pancake lens.
nice one!
Hi Darlene,
I have missed a few challenges which I have regretted. Will be using my Nikon D3200 50mm f/1.8…and am excited to get the creative juices flowing!
March
Thanks
I’m in with a Nikon D3100 and a 35mm f1.8
Hi Darlene! This will be my first challenge, and i’m very excited to finally be joining the discussions I’ve been reading! My lense of choice is a 50mm f/1.8 ( sony). I actually havent taken it off my camera in weeks, so i figured another month should be no problem! Thanks for all the great challenges, inspiration, amd advice!
Hi Darlene. Count me in! I’ll be shooting with a Canon 50d and use my EF-S 17-55mm 2.8. I only have zoom lenses right now, so I think I’ll keep this one at 55mm.
great choice – one thing to consider is how the 55mm will limit you and plan ahead for it.
Do you have a suggestion to help me make a better decision on my setting? I appreciate any advice you can give. The day is still young! 🙂
Honestly it really doesn’t matter – just pick one and run with it. There are plenty of people using long lenses so stick with it at 55. The reason I suggested 55 might limit you on that lens is the max aperture at that range isn’t really big on those kit lenses. If you have a 50mm prime I’d use that – if not maybe go towards the wider end of the zoom like 24mm.
Actually it isn’t a kit lens, and it’ll hold its 2.8 aperture, so I think maybe I’ll stick with the 55. I wish I had a 50mm prime lens, like you said. That’s also on my wish list!
I frequently do this but typically only for a week or two at a time – or switch after a week to a different lens / focal length so it’s a no brainer to do so for a little bit longer.
Now I just need to remember to come back and say here that I di dit 🙂
Note on your St Patty’s Day. It should be St Paddy’s Day if you are going to make any contractions.
Patty is contraction for Patricia.
fixed. Thanks
Hi Darlene. I’m on with a Pentax 50mm f/1.8. That is pretty much what I
have started to do, but I will ensure I shoot something each day. I’m using a new K-3. Tony (also in Edmonton)
